School Experience Programme (SEP)
Spending time in a classroom is an essential part of deciding to train to teach and will strengthen your application for teacher training. School experience gives you the chance to watch lessons and see for yourself what it’s really like to be a teacher, and allows you to draw on your own examples in your application and interview.
IMPORTANT NOTICE, all bookings made on the SEP are partial, until you have confirmation from the Support Manager for TESLA.
As we are a BET and work within an alliance, we offer over 9 schools to host you for school experience days
Your visit will include the following:-
- A chat about the whole teacher-training route and what’s involved.
- A 2-day diverse timetable in your requested subject/s to show you ‘typical school life’.
- A lesson planning task when staff members are available.
- An opportunity to ask many questions from staff and students.
Make a difference; change your life to change many others.
The School Experience Programme (SEP) is run by the National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) and offers places to those wishing to commence initial teacher training (ITT). Follow this link to register your interest with the Teaching Agency, who will contact local schools on your behalf: https://getintoteaching.
